Tyffany Baird creates issues that don’t exist to manufacture fear and gain votes
Taking time away from leadership which has to constantly combat the misinformation that the Clean Slate 2.0 keeps planting around the community. From a "Special Update" written by Hartland Superintendent regarding Tyffany Baird's fear-mongering, “A parent seems to feel that the district is not providing a safe environment for children and staff. Today, this person posted information regarding Village Elementary that seems to have scared some people for no reason. Unfortunately, this person failed to reach out to me and ask questions about the pictures taken and posted. . . These pictures and comments were posted on social media, causing some to be upset. It is unfortunate that someone chooses not to reach out to ask questions before posting scary information on social media, I am sorry if this caused you any anxiety. Insinuating that the district is not taking care of the environment is certainly callous when one does not take the time to ask questions ahead of disseminating information. Tyffany Baird and the Clean Slate 2.0 proudly bring politics into a NONPARTISAN race
Baird posts pictures of herself and her school board candidate signs at Trump rallies and hands out Trump signs with her campaign signs. Here she is on the tarmac when Trump landed in Howell for a campaign rally at the Livingston Co. Sheriff’s Department. This event cost county taxpayers $40,000 in public funds and has led to a state investigation for campaign finance abuses.
The Clean Slate won during midterms not because the majority of teachers or parents support them, but because a very small group of big money donors and backers of the Livingston GOP successfully riled up MAGA base voters in Hartland to push through partisan school board members with a singular agenda. These rightwing radicals pushed out more moderate Republican representatives who already were on the board, as we’ve seen time and again in Republican politics.
Clean Slate 2.0 is running with that tactic again this election, pairing their school board signs next to Trumps helps reach the voters who are not a part of the education community.

Tyffany Baird and the Clean Slate 2.0 will NOT REPRESENT ALL FAMILIES- Baird dismisses marginalized voices
Baird, Yarber, and Scott have all responded to stakeholders who disagree or challenge them by deleting their comments and blocking them on social media. In this example, a family member of a marginalized Hartland student expressed concerns about Baird’s proposed discriminatory school policy that would directly impact their loved one. Baird responded by instantly deleting their comments and blocking this important stakeholder.
Make sure your friends, family, and neighbors are aware that these people can’t respectfully engage with their constituents and those they claim to represent. We can expect that the Clean Slate 2.0 will not be able to behave in a thoughtful, even-handed manner once elected.
The Clean Slate 2.0 lied about being endorsed by Hartland teachers
Baird and buddies didn’t like it when the Hartland Employee Groups (the majority of teachers) did not endorse them. They quickly attempted to post a campaign photo with false information stating they were endorsed, but the education community had none of that and called them out quickly. That graphic was almost immediately removed because FACT is, the vast majority of Hartland teachers have endorsed Campbell, Shaw, Tucker. The comments in this thread clear up any questions.
